Session 7 - Poetry Writing with Daniela Nunnari

Session Aims:

• Learn poetry skills
• Create poetry to fit with photoshoot images

Using the two days of photoshoot outputs as inspiration the group worked with up and coming poetry star Dani Nunnari to craft some words around the images.  

Dani gave some examples of poems which used a returning metaphor to express emotion and mood.   She introduced the group to some of her favourite books which use illustrations as well as words.

Humoured, moved and captivated by Dani's examples, the group then set about writing some words around their own images.   The results were very impressive!

Ciara Leeming Multimedia

During her day working with the Mind Me project, Ciara spent some time getting to know one of the participants and recorded some audio to bring her pictures to life.   We think it really captures the group well.   Here is what she came up with:

Session 6 - Ciara Leeming Photoshoot

Session Aims:

• Capture the remaining shoot scenarios
•  Use images to inform poetry

 For today's session we welcomed the talented and experienced photojournalist Ciara Leeming to the project.   Ciara's role was to pick up the final shoot scenarios and complete the visual material for our final piece.

Using a professional Nikon SLR and a Medium Format Holga Camera Ciara added her creative eye to the devised scenarios.
