Mind Me : Understanding and tackling the stigma around mental health in Stockton-on-Tees.
Working with Inspired Youth, this project aims to create a piece of multimedia which links narrative, poetry and photography to help participants explore and express their experience of stigma around mental health issues.
The piece will be presented as a digital multimedia installation and will be exhibited in Stockton for World Mental Health Day on the weekend of October 10th 2010.
The collection of work will highlight the experiences of adults in Stockton who use mental health services, it will be designed to be a local response to current national anti-stigma campaigns
(www.time-to-change.org.uk) and to complement these campaigns whilst telling more individual, local stories.
